After the Hurricanes in 2004, we were using up a lot of our "reserve funds" to do repairs on the house, so I saw an ad about Reverse Mortgages in the Movie Theater. Simply stated……Stu is a "deal-maker." We had been working with a couple re-locating from New York that was looking for a community to make the transition easier for their teenage children. Stu did the pre-approval for the clients in order to tell all of us what the purchase price range would be that the client could feel comfortable with the monthly payment. What we didn’t know was that Stu had to "get creative with the financing to customize a loan program" that assisted the client in satisfying a lot of credit card debts prior to purchasing the new home. We showed them properties in different areas of Palm Beach County, but nothing that really jumped out and said "this is the one." Viewing many properties in the price range resulted in no one property being the special one. Then Stu told us about a property he knew was coming on the market (which just happened to be one of his other clients.) The "deal-maker" that he is, Stu suggested the second clients home as a possibility. As soon as it was listed for sale, we took our clients to see the property; an offer was presented and negotiated within hours and all parties were very delighted beyond what words can describe. The bottom line, Stu is "our" Mortgage Professional - the deal-maker that we recommend to all our clients.

I was pre-approved by Stu for a loan about 60 days prior to the closing date on my home. We proceeded with the loan process, however, the shopper that I am, I found an Internet mortgage company that offered a better rate and lower closing costs. Stu was very professional about everything when I told him that I was going to move forward with the internet company 3 weeks before closing. He pointed out the disadvantages of dealing with an internet company and offered his assistance going forward with regard to any questions I had. Don't you know, 4 days before closing I got a "surprise" about the actual closing costs from the Internet company. I called Stu immediately and he closed the loan at our original agreed upon terms.
